Script to screen, step by step.

Sweatbox is one connected workspace. Set up your world and cast once, then move a production down the pipeline: Script → Audio → Storyboard → Colorize → Animate → Scenes → Export.

First, set up

A

Create a production

Start a project from a template (film, series, short, music video…). Optionally group related projects under a franchise so they share a cast, worlds, and a house art style.

  • A franchise = a universe; a production = one film/series inside it.
  • You can also start a standalone project with no franchise.
B

Build the cast & worlds

Add characters and locations. Upload a few reference images per character so every later frame stays on-model. Set an art style — or restyle existing art in the Restyle Studio and set it as the house style.

  • More references = less drift. The reference-matched model keeps likeness.
  • Use the Consistency panel to drift-check a character against their master.

Then, the pipeline

1

Script

Write or paste your screenplay on the Script page. Hit Parse (or ✦ AI parse) to break it into scenes, shots, speakers, and action beats.

  • AI parse also captures action lines that flow into Animate/Colorize.
2

Audio

Assign voices to your cast and generate the dialogue — one line or the whole script at once. Real text-to-speech when a voice provider is configured.

  • Copy the per-line voice direction if you prefer an external tool.
3

Storyboard

Every shot becomes a frame. Generate one, or turn on Auto to board the whole film on autopilot — it rates frames, learns your preferences, and can extend the board. Rate and flag on the Wall; run a consistency sweep to catch off-model frames.

  • The ✦ Vibe bar (⌘K) generates a shot from a plain-language description anywhere.
4

Colorize

Pick a look (Noir, Anime, Cinematic…) and regrade the real frames — one shot, selected shots, or Grade all. Set a default look the whole production inherits.

  • Regrade preserves composition; only the palette/lighting changes.
5

Animate

Turn frames into clips. Animate one shot from its graded frame (image-to-video), or Animate all. Pick the angle-appropriate source and set camera moves.

  • Clips render in the background and land in your library.
6

Scenes

Arrange scenes into the final order. Filmstrips show each scene's boarded frames and coverage so you can see what's ready.

7

Export

Assemble the cut. Render a film animatic (title cards + every shot as a timed still with Ken Burns + crossfades), a clip reel, or a music video timed to a song — all downloadable in the browser. Copy the publishing + marketing briefs, then share to the community.

  • Full mp4 + audio server render is Phase-2; the browser render gives you a real cut now.
